Paper Before the Pane
Why the Gudauta room still starts on paper, even when everyone in the seat already has a charting package.
Screens hide the cost of a mark. Undo is cheap. A pencil on a printout is slower, which is the point. In Momentum Reading Studio we print a sequence at a fixed scale so students cannot zoom their way out of a bad annotation.
Paper also keeps RSI from arriving too early. If the oscillator is already on the print, people read the line first and decorate price afterward. We often hand out a price-only sheet, take marks, then overlay a second sheet with RSI. The comparison is usually instructive and occasionally embarrassing, which we treat as ordinary.
You are welcome to finish the last hour on your own software. We only ask that the first pass stay on paper so the room shares a surface. The lab is not a software clinic. Layouts differ; the reading habit should not.
